This page provides an overview of various courses and workshops offered in the field of saddlery and leatherwork. It includes a range of programs catering to different skill levels and interests. Introductory & Basic Skills

22 days over 11 alternate weekends. Fees £2,200. Bursaries are available for eligible applicants.

Harness making

For experienced practitioners who want to develop or refine their existing skills.

Astride Saddle

For those who have some knowledge and want to refresh their skills or hone their technique.
For those who want to learn how to make a saddle from start to finish.

Side Saddle

For those who wish to make a side saddle from start to finish under instruction from a side saddle specialist master saddler. For those who wish to refurbish an old side saddle.

Tool Care and Maintenance

This occasional course will help those who need guidance and want to learn the techniques to sharpen and maintain tools. It will also cover tips for how best to use tools to achieve desired outcomes.

Repairs Workshop

These workshops will interest Saddle Fitters who want to acquire some knowledge and skills to carry out simple repairs and flocking adjustments. Those who are working on leather goods restoration will also find these workshops useful.
